Herman Hickman (Herman Michael Hickman, Jr.) was born on October 1, 1911 in Johnson City, Tennessee. After going to high school at Baylor Prep (Chattanooga, TN) and Johnson City (TN), Hickman attended the University of Tennessee. Hickman made his professional debut in the NFL in 1932 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers for his entire 3 year career.
