Here Comes the Randy Moss Return Man of The Year

13
Vote

Just when you thought there you understood everything that happens in college football, they go out and find something else to make you say WTF?!?!? This one will leave you shaking your head and asking why?

Starting next year college football will be awarding the Randy Moss Return Man Award. That’s right Randy Moss has his own award. This will be given out to the top Div-1A return man. While attending Marshall Randy Moss was the leading kick return man with a 34.6 ypg average. Since moving to the NFL Moss has scaled back on his return duties as teams have not wanted to risk injuring such a talent.

The best part about this is, Moss was anything but a standout athlete while in college. He was kicked out of two schools before settling in at Marshall.

a college football award in honor of a guy who got kicked out of two schools and just publicly stated that he's "not trying" on the RAiders. haha i love it. just goes to show, quite often nobody cares about your past transgressions...just your record of achievements.

In the world of Formula One, people do think that Michael Schumacher's stupidity has questioned his standpoint in history, even though statistically he was the best. Perhaps it's a NCAA thing.

And yet Pete Rose and Michal Irvin still wait for the call from the Hall of Fame....

good points. the Pete Rose thing i attribute to the pride and stubbornness of MLB...for Irvin, maybe his legal troubles were too visible.

More visable than being kicked out of two schools for possesion? Also, its not like Moss has a clean record since reaching the Pros.

In the spirit of a game we once played: "Randy Moss will forever be remembered for his skills as a kick returner."

For the trophy, they should have a bronze, fake-mooning Moss on top. Then when people think they are in line for the award, instead of posing like the Heisman a la Desmond Howard, they can celebrate with a good ol' fashioned fake mooning.

Randy Moss is a bit of an embarrasment, but he's a better role model than T.O.
