Herb Nelson

Herb Nelson (Herbert Russell Nelson) was born on April 25, 1921 in Hartford, Connecticut. After going to high school at William Hall (Hartford, CT), Nelson attended the University of Pennsylvania. Nelson made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1946 with the Buffalo Bisons. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Buffalo Bisons over the course of his 3 year career.
Most people believe that 1946 was Herb Nelson's best year.
