Herb Maack (Herbert Henry Maack) was born on April 6, 1917 in Union City, New Jersey. After going to high school at Hun School (West New York, NJ), Maack attended Columbia University. Maack made his professional debut in the AAFC in 1946 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers for his entire 1 year career.
