Herb Crompton (Herbert Bryan Crompton) was born on November 7, 1911 in Taylor Ridge, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on April 26, 1937 for the Washington Senators. Crompton played for the Washington Senators and New York Yankees over the course of his 2 year career.
