Herb Blumer (Herbert George Blumer) was born on March 7, 1900 in St. Louis, Missouri. After going to high school at Webster Groves (MO), Blumer attended the University of Missouri. Blumer made his professional debut in the NFL in 1925 with the Chicago Cardinals. He played for the Chicago Cardinals for his entire 7 year career.
