Henry Reed (Henry Elax Reed) was born on January 15, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan. After going to high school at Northwestern (Detroit, MI), Reed attended Iowa Central Community College and Weber State University. Reed made his professional debut in the NFL in 1971 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 4 year career.

Most people believe that 1973 was Henry Reed's best year.
