Henry Hammond (Henry T. Hammond) was born on February 13, 1913 in Memphis, Tennessee. After going to high school at Central (Memphis, TN), Hammond attended Rhodes College. Hammond made his professional debut in the NFL in 1937 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Chicago Bears for his entire 1 year career.
