General Overview

On many pages throughout ArmchairGM, you will see a field allowing you to easily add comments to the page. Merely type in your comment, click Post Comment, and your comment will be displayed on the bottom of the page, following the last written comment.

CommentSpy

What is it? Enable it, and comments will refresh automatically. Basically, you get to "spy" on comments as they are entered, without having to reload the page!

How do I add the "Submit Comment" box to my page?

If you created an opinion or news article using the create box, the comments box will automatically be included in your page. However if you created a page another way, you can add the comment box to your page by inserting the tag:

<comments></comments>

onto the bottom of your page.

Why are my comments being attributed to an "anonymous fanatic"?

ArmchairGM allows anyone to post comments to news and opinion articles. You don't need an account to do so. However, people who post without logging in are given the name "Anonymous Fanatic." To learn about creating an account, click here.

Comments get a score. Tell me more.

Some comments are rather insightful, funny, informative, or generally hip to the underlying point. Others are inflammatory, bigoted, spam, or just plain sucky. The comments score gives us a way to bury the bad and promote the good.

If you like a comment, give it a +. If you don't, try a minus. Choose "Sort by Score" to, well, sort by score (instead of by date).

What should I do if someone spammed comments on my page?
