Heinie Reitz (Henry P. Reitz) was born on June 29, 1867 in Chicago, Illinois. He made his Major League debut on April 27, 1893 for the Baltimore Orioles. In 1893, his rookie year, he hit .286 with 1 home run and 76 RBI. Reitz played for the Baltimore Orioles, Washington Senators and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 7 year career.
Most people believe that Heinie Reitz's best season was 1894, when he hit for a .303 average and knocked in 105 runs.
