Heinie Miller (Henry John Miller) was born on January 1, 1893 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at Haverford (PA) and Mercersburg Academy (Mercersburg, PA), Miller attended the University of Pennsylvania. Miller made his professional debut in the APFA in 1920 with the Buffalo All-Americans. He played in the APFA for 2 years, playing for the Buffalo All-Americans the entire time. Miller also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Milwaukee Badgers the entire time.
