Heinie Heltzel (William Wade Heltzel) was born on December 21, 1913 in York, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on July 27, 1943 for the Boston Braves. Heltzel played for the Boston Braves and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 2 year career.
