Heartbreak For United As Chelsea Escape Again

It was another lousy day at the office for Ale Ferguson as Manchester United failed to pick up all three points away at Portsmouth. United playing without injured striker Wayne Rooney had superstar Tevez in the starting line up. However, it was veteran Paul Scholes who got them the lead 15 minutes into the game with a screamer from outside the box. Benjani then equalised 10 minutes into the second half. Portsmouth were down to 10 men midway into the second half but United failed to take advantage and ended up having Ronaldo sent off towards the end of the game. 2 points from the opening two games has left fans sort of shocked and unhappy and are now all nervously waiting for the manchester derby next weekend.Man City have two wins from their opening two games under new manager Eriksson.

Elsewhere Chelsea came from behind with two quick goals courtesy of Lampard and Drogba early into the second half, away to Reading, to take them four points ahead of United. Chelsea next have a mouth watering clash against the formidable reds of Liverpool who won their away fixture in the Champions League Qualifier mid week.

I'm not sure what else could happen to make the start of this season any worse for United. First Rooney's injury, then Ronaldo gets a staight red in the second game and they've only picked up 2 of a possible six points.

By the way, am I alone in thinking that Fulham (whom I picked for relegation) and Reading have looked really good in their first two games?

I agree. Both Fulham and Reading should have more than one point to their credit so far this season. Also, I've been impressed with Man City and am very interested to see how the ManU-City game plays out this weekend.

I got home in time last evening to see the second half of the Reading and scummers match. ech. Drogba ruined my evening. The Manchester Derby should be an amazing match this weekend.
