The Atlanta Hawks might still suck next year, but at least you won't be able to recognize them. The Hawks have released their new uniforms and their new logo for next year. I'll give the jerseys a B. They are actually pretty cool, except for the fact that they chose to go with that generic style (Dallas, Miami, LA Lakers, Denver, Detroit, etc.). I just like the old school basketball jerseys better (Boston, Chicago, New York, Orlando, etc.)
- "The inspiration for the colors came from the original St. Louis Hawks uniforms which were red, white and blue. Those colors were also used for the first two seasons in Atlanta, and the 2007-08 season marks the 40th anniversary of the Hawks in Atlanta. It's also the 50th anniversary of the Hawks NBA Championship and those two anniversaries are part of the reason we opted to make the change now.
- "It's a more modern, sleek, and aggressive look that goes with the product that we are putting on the court this season. We know our players love it and we are sure the fans will too," said Mullin.
I wouldn't be too sure. Hopefully the pictures just do justice for what they really look like. I really don't like the fact that it looks as though they have copied the Falcons.. I think the color is blue, but it sure looks like black.
