Harvey Long (Harvey John Long) was born on September 11, 1906 in St. Croix, Wisconsin. After going to high school at Sheboygan (WI), Long attended the University of Detroit Mercy. Long made his professional debut in the NFL in 1929 with the Chicago Bears. He played for the Frankford Yellow Jackets and Chicago Bears over the course of his 2 year career.
