Harry Walker (Harry William Walker) was born on October 22, 1916 in Pascagoula, Mississippi. He made his Major League debut on September 25, 1940 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1942, his rookie year, he hit .314 with 0 home runs and 16 RBI. Walker played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Philadelphia Phillies, Cincinnati Reds and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that Harry Walker's best season was 1947, when he hit for a .363 average.
