Born on January 11, 1879 in Dayton, Ohio, Harry McIntire (John Reid McIntire) played for the Brooklyn Superbas, Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 9 year career. McIntire broke into the bigs on April 14, 1905 with the Brooklyn Superbas, and put up a 3.70 ERA in 308.2 innings pitched in 1905, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Harry McIntire's best season was 1906, when he posted a 2.97 ERA, won 13 games and struck out 121 batters.
