Harry McCurdy (Harry Henry McCurdy) was born on September 15, 1899 in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. He made his Major League debut on July 4, 1922 for the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1923, his rookie year, he hit .265 with 0 home runs and 15 RBI. McCurdy played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago White Sox, Philadelphia Phillies and Cincinnati Reds over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that Harry McCurdy's best season was 1927, when he hit for a .286 average.
