Hal Trosky (Harold Arthur Trosky, Sr.) was born on November 11, 1912 in Norway, Iowa. He made his Major League debut on September 11, 1933 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1934, his rookie year, he hit .330 with 35 home runs and 142 RBI. Trosky played for the Cleveland Indians and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that Hal Trosky's best season was 1936, when he slugged 42 home runs, hit for a .343 average and knocked in 162 runs.
