Harold Hays (Leo Harold Hays) was born on August 24, 1939 in Gulfport, Mississippi. After going to high school at Hattiesburg (MS), Hays attended the University of Southern Mississippi. Hays made his professional debut in the NFL in 1963 with the Dallas Cowboys. He played for the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that 1967 was Harold Hays's best year.
