Born on September 28, 1883 in Portland, Indiana, Harley Young (Harlan Edward Young) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Boston Doves over the course of his 1 year career. Young broke into the bigs on April 21, 1908 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 2.62 ERA in 75.2 innings pitched in 1908, his rookie year.
