Hap Barnard (William Charles Barnard) was born on October 3, 1915 in Ovalo, Texas. After going to high school at Happy (TX), Barnard attended the University of Central Oklahoma. Barnard made his professional debut in the NFL in 1938 with the New York Giants. He played for the New York Giants for his entire 1 year career.
