Hank Thompson (Henry Curtis Thompson) was born on December 8, 1925 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He made his Major League debut on July 17, 1947 for the St. Louis Browns. In 1949, his rookie year, he hit .280 with 9 home runs and 34 RBI. Thompson played for the St. Louis Browns and New York Giants over the course of his 9 year career.

Most people believe that Hank Thompson's best season was 1950, when he slugged 20 home runs, hit for a .289 average and knocked in 91 runs.
