Hank Helf (Henry Hartz Helf) was born on August 26, 1913 in Austin, Texas. He made his Major League debut on May 5, 1938 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1946, his rookie year, he hit .192 with 6 home runs and 21 RBI. Helf played for the Cleveland Indians and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 3 year career.
