Born on January 11, 1940 in Yonkers, New York, Hank Fischer (Henry William Fischer) played for the Milwaukee Braves, Cincinnati Reds, Boston Red Sox and Atlanta Braves over the course of his 6 year career. Fischer broke into the bigs on April 16, 1962 with the Milwaukee Braves, and put up a 4.96 ERA in 74.1 innings pitched in 1963, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Hank Fischer's best season was 1964, when he posted a 4.01 ERA, won 11 games and struck out 99 batters.
