Hank Edwards (Henry Albert Edwards) was born on January 29, 1919 in Elmwood Place, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on September 10, 1941 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1943, his rookie year, he hit .276 with 3 home runs and 28 RBI. Edwards played for the Cleveland Indians, Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, Chicago White Sox and St. Louis Browns over the course of his 11 year career.

Most people believe that Hank Edwards's best season was 1946, when he hit for a .301 average and knocked in 54 runs.
