Hank Arft (Henry Irven Arft) was born on January 28, 1922 in Manchester, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on July 27, 1948 for the St. Louis Browns. In 1948, his rookie year, he hit .238 with 5 home runs and 38 RBI. Arft played for the St. Louis Browns for his entire 4 year career.
