Hamp Pool

Hamp Pool (J. Hampton Pool) was born on March 11, 1915 in San Miguel, California. After going to high school at Paso Robles (CA), Pool attended Army College, Stanford University and Univeristy of California. Pool made his professional debut in the NFL in 1940 with the Chicago Bears. He played in the NFL for 4 years, playing for the Chicago Bears the entire time. Pool also played in the AAFC for 1 year, playing for the Miami Seahawks the entire time.
Most people believe that 1943 was Hamp Pool's best year, as he caught 5 TD passes.
