Ham Murphy (Harvey Allen Murphy) was born on August 24, 1915. After going to high school at Forrest County (Brooklyn, MS), Murphy attended the University of Mississippi. Murphy made his professional debut in the NFL in 1940 with the Cleveland Rams. He played for the Cleveland Rams for his entire 1 year career.
