I have already written a MLB version, now it's time for the NFL version. Here are the offensive players who I think should make the HOF, (all current players).
Shoo-ins:
LaDainian Tomlinson- The best RB of his era, and possibly one of the best in NFL history, and he still may have a good five years left in his career. In his six seasons in the NFL, he has 9, 176 Rushing yards, and 111 career TD's (100 rushing, 11 receiving), not to mention 6 passing TD's. L.T. may be the greatest all-around RB in NFL history, (Averages of 1,529 Rushing yds, and 17 rushing TD's, and 483 receiving yds on 66 receptions and 2 TD's per season). First Ballot.
Brett Favre- He is only still playing the game for fun, but defenses are still scared of his strong arm, considering he has 57, 500 career Passing yards, and 414 passing TD's, and an 85.1 career passer rating, he has a super bowl ring, too. Anyone in the world will tell you he is a first ballot HOFer.
Tom Brady- In his second season, Brady took over for NE QB Drew Bledsoe, and handed the pats a SB championship. He ended up winning three super bowls in four seasons, and winning twoo sb MVP awards. Doing all this without very good receivers. He has a career QB Rating of 88.4, which is pretty decent, and a 61.9 career completion percentage. First Ballot.
Peyton Manning- He has one SB ring, and owns many, many records, including the record for most passing TD's in a single season (49). Manning has a career passer rating of 94.4, has a career completion persentage of 64, and has nearly 38,000 passing yards. Manning is a first ballot hall of famer.
Corey Dillon- Has 11,241 rushing yards, and a SB ring, with the 04 pats, Dillon has 82 career rushing TD's, as well. I don't think he will be a first ballot, but will make it.
Curtis Martin- I actually don't know if he is still active, but im putting him on here, same with Corey Dillon, Martin is 5th on the all-time rushing yards list with 14, 101, and 90 rushing TD's, he is a first ballot HOFer.
Marvin Harrison- I said there could be a comparison of him and Jerry Rice, in one of my other articles, Harrison is a shoo-in, but is nowhere close to Rice. He has 13,697 career receiving yards, and 1,022 receptions, along with 122 TD catches. He is obviously a HOFer, first ballot.
Terrell Owens- Beleive it or not, but T.O. is a future hall of famer, is receiving yards, and TD catches are alot like Harrison's (11,715 yds, and 114 TD catches), and he has 801 receptions. Not a first ballot.
Isaac Bruce- He has 13, 376 receiving yards, on 887 receptions for 80 TD's, and he has a SB ring. He could be a first ballot.
Tony Gonzalez- For a TE, 8, 710 receiving yards is alot, he also has 61 TD's, and 721 receptions. Many WR don't have that much. First ballot HOFer.
Likely HOFers
There is a long list of possible hall of famers.
The defense, and Special teams edition is coming soon, I decided to split it into two parts.
