Born on August 6, 1903 in Clay City, Illinois, Hal Wiltse (Harold James Wiltse) played for the Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Browns and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 4 year career. Wiltse broke into the bigs on April 13, 1926 with the Boston Red Sox, and put up a 4.22 ERA in 196.1 innings pitched in 1926, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Hal Wiltse's best season was 1927, when he won 10 games.
