Born on August 24, 1928 in Shannon, Georgia, Hal Griggs (Harold Lloyd Griggs) played for the Washington Senators for his entire 4 year career. Griggs broke into the bigs on April 18, 1956 with the Washington Senators, and put up a 6.02 ERA in 98.2 innings pitched in 1956, his rookie year.
