Hal Cherne (Harold Thomas Cherne) was born on March 7, 1907 in La Salle, Illinois. After going to high school at Hyde Park (Chicago, IL), Mount Carmel (Chicago, IL) and YMCA (Chicago, IL), Cherne attended Depaul University. Cherne made his professional debut in the NFL in 1933 with the Boston Redskins. He played for the Boston Redskins for his entire 1 year career.
