Hakim Akbar (Akmal Hakim Akbar) was born on August 11, 1980 in Riverside, California. After going to high school at Polytechnic (Riverside, CA), Akbar attended the University of Washington. Akbar made his professional debut in the NFL in 2001 with the New England Patriots. He played for the St. Louis Rams and New England Patriots over the course of his 2 year career.
