HGH Becoming A Problem

Human growth hormone has been a problem for Major League Baseball.
Not testing for HGH is the reason why this drug that could be taken with low chances of getting caught.
Just recently, St. Louis Cardinals' Rick Ankiel has been linked to HGH in the past. Toronto Blue Jays' Troy Glaus was also linked to HGH in the past as well.
With this being known, there will be a meeting for these two players.
Rick Ankiel has said he used HGH were it was prescribed by a physician to help heal his elbow surgery. This happened in 2004.
Reports are that Troy Glaus received shipments of nandrolone and testosterone in September 2003 to May 2004.
Major League Baseball is going to take their time with both players.
What can Major League Baseball do?
They can't suspend these players, because they used them when it wasn't against the rules. It wouldn't be fair to suspend them. I understand if Major League Baseball wants to have a meeting, to found out what really happened.
What happened in the past, is something Major League Baseball can't fix.
Rick Ankiel had a interesting past. Going through so much, from being a pitcher. Suffering from set backs in the past. To see him in Major League Baseball is a wonderful thing to enjoy.
Hearing about Rick Ankiel using HGH hurts his image. Now fans are going to wonder if he did this on his own.
Ankiel has said he used HGH for treating injuries only. But while he said that, he hardly could make eye contact with the reporter that asked him the question.
Ankiel had all the reasons in the world to take HGH. His career took a down fall, and injury is something that kept him back. If Ankiel lied, it wouldn't be a surprise to me.
Athletes like Rick Ankiel have reasons to use HGH, but it's still cheating. Ankiel gets a pass, because he use them when it wasn't against the rules.
Troy Glaus using HGH was a surprise, because he doesn't have a reason. Rick Ankiel's career was in trouble, and he needed a way out. Troy Glaus didn't need to use HGH, he could have done the same without them.
Again, Troy Glaus can't be suspended. He use them when it wasn't against the rules. Major League Baseball banned HGH in 2005; Troy Glaus gets a pass as well.
It's great that Major League Baseball wants to have a meeting with Troy Glaus and Rick Ankiel. In the past, Major League Baseball didn't do enough to stop this problem. Now Major League Baseball is showing that they care, and want this to stop.
This is hurting the image of Major League Baseball. But they should have expected this. This league didn't do anything to perfect its image until Game Of Shadows came out.
Banning HGH from Major League Baseball is good, but not testing for it is stupid. What's the sense of banning it, if you're not going to test for it.
This needs to change, because HGH is probably even bigger then steroids in the MLB right now.
The chances of getting caught are slim, but someone is going to find out if an athletes is using steroids.
Major League Baseball needs to test for HGH. If they aren't, then allow this drug in your league.
This is the reason why Major League Baseball have their image.
