Born on June 1, 1893 in Vernon, Alabama, Guy Morton (Guy Morton, Sr.) played for the Cleveland Naps and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 11 year career. Morton broke into the bigs on June 20, 1914 with the Cleveland Naps, and put up a 3.02 ERA in 128 innings pitched in 1914, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Guy Morton's best season was 1915, when he posted a 2.14 ERA, won 16 games and struck out 134 batters.
