Guerdon Whiteley (Guerdon W. Whiteley) was born on October 5, 1859 in Hopkinton, Rhode Island. He made his Major League debut on August 7, 1884 for the Cleveland Spiders. In 1885, his rookie year, he hit .185 with 1 home run and 7 RBI. Whiteley played for the Cleveland Spiders and Boston Beaneaters over the course of his 2 year career.
