Born on January 15, 1885 in Sandborn, Indiana, Grover Lowdermilk (Grover Cleveland Lowdermilk) played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Browns, Detroit Tigers, Cleveland Indians and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 9 year career. Lowdermilk broke into the bigs on July 3, 1909 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 3.24 ERA in 250.1 innings pitched in 1915, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Grover Lowdermilk's best season was 1915, when he posted a 3.24 ERA, won 13 games and struck out 148 batters.
