[edit] Biography

Born on October 11, 1966 in Scribner, Nebraska, Gregg Olson (Greggory William Olson) played for the Baltimore Orioles, Atlanta Braves, Kansas City Royals, Cleveland Indians, Houston Astros, Detroit Tigers, Minnesota Twins, Arizona Diamondbacks and Los Angeles Dodgers over the course of his 14 year career. Olson broke into the bigs on September 2, 1988 with the Baltimore Orioles, and put up a 1.69 ERA in 85 innings pitched in 1989, his rookie year.

There is some disagreement on what was Gregg Olson's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1990, when he posted a 2.42 ERA, notched 37 saves and struck out 74 batters. However, others believe that it was 1989, when he posted a 1.69 ERA, notched 27 saves and struck out 90 batters.
