Greg Pryor (Gregory Russell Pryor) was born on October 2, 1949 in Marietta, Ohio. He made his Major League debut on June 4, 1976 for the Texas Rangers. In 1978, his rookie year, he hit .261 with 2 home runs and 15 RBI. Pryor played for the Texas Rangers, Chicago White Sox and Kansas City Royals over the course of his 10 year career.

Most people believe that Greg Pryor's best season was 1979, when he hit for a .275 average.
