Greg Mathews

Born on May 17, 1962 in Harbor City, California, Greg Mathews (Gregory Inman Mathews) played for the St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 5 year career. Mathews broke into the bigs on June 3, 1986 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 3.65 ERA in 145.1 innings pitched in 1986, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Greg Mathews's best season was 1987, when he posted a 3.73 ERA, won 11 games and struck out 108 batters.
