Born on November 2, 1955 in Lynwood, California, Greg Harris (Greg Allen Harris) played for the New York Mets, Cincinnati Reds, San Diego Padres, Montreal Expos, Texas Rangers, Philadelphia Phillies, Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees over the course of his 15 year career. Harris broke into the bigs on May 20, 1981 with the New York Mets, and put up a 4.46 ERA in 68.2 innings pitched in 1981, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Greg Harris's best season was 1986, when he posted a 2.83 ERA, won 10 games, notched 20 saves and struck out 95 batters.
