Greek George (Charles Peter George) was born on December 25, 1912 in Waycross, Georgia. He made his Major League debut on June 30, 1935 for the Cleveland Indians. In 1945, his rookie year, he hit .174 with 0 home runs and 11 RBI. George played for the Cleveland Indians, Brooklyn Dodgers, Chicago Cubs and Philadelphia Athletics over the course of his 5 year career.
