GOVENOR SCHWARZENEGGER EXPANDING GAMBLING TO INTERNET

I feel this is the way to go to help states with thier financial recovery !

Gov. Schwarzenneger has recently signed a bill to allow internet gambling of horses on the internet. I think this is great, let’s get it rolling. The only thing that is troublesome is that the Gov. doesn’t seem to be helping small business in the state.

When is legislature going to start putting money back in the community.

Big business is the only one winning out , and oh yeah , I forgot Indian casino’s. What does the state get from Indian casino revenues , like 2%? Lets start changing the legislature to get gambling funds back in the pockets of the citizens.

I still think the Gov. is taking baby steps toward what the communities need to pull them out of a huge financial hole. Arnold don’t be The Terminator on this bill KEEP ON GOING.

States can often get a ton of money from Indian casinos. Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun in Connecticut have to give something like 75% of their slot revenues to the state. Furthermore, the casinos provide jobs, which is money that goes directly to the community, with some of it being taxed by the state/town, of course.

Online gambling cannot be run within a state or the US. North Dakota tried to allow internet gambling to be located within their state, but the Department of Justice sent them a "memo" encouraging them not to. I know Turning Stone doesn't have a deal that gives much money to New York. But at the same time, it's the biggest employer in CNY, I believe.
