Gorman Thomas (James Gorman Thomas) was born on December 12, 1950 in Charleston, South Carolina. He made his Major League debut on April 6, 1973 for the Milwaukee Brewers. In 1973, his rookie year, he hit .187 with 2 home runs and 11 RBI. Thomas played for the Milwaukee Brewers, Cleveland Indians and Seattle Mariners over the course of his 13 year career.

Most people believe that Gorman Thomas's best season was 1979, when he slugged 45 home runs and knocked in 123 runs.
