Gordy Holz (Gordon Francis Holz) was born on May 24, 1933 in St. Paul, Minnesota. After going to high school at Rosemount (MN), Holz attended the University of Minnesota. Holz made his professional debut in the AFL in 1960 with the Denver Broncos. He played for the Denver Broncos and New York Jets over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that 1963 was Gordy Holz's best year.
