Gordon Smith (Gordon Chilton Smith) was born on April 9, 1939 in Douglas, Arizona. After going to high school at West (Phoenix, AZ), Smith attended Arizona State University and the University of Missouri. Smith made his professional debut in the NFL in 1961 with the Minnesota Vikings. He played for the Minnesota Vikings for his entire 5 year career.
Most people believe that 1965 was Gordon Smith's best year, as he caught 5 TD passes.
