Gordon Gore (Wilfred Gordon Gore) was born on June 28, 1913 in Clinton OK. After going to high school at Hominy (OK), Gore attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Gore made his professional debut in the NFL in 1939 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 1 year career.
