Born on July 19, 1938 in Colquitt, Georgia, Gordie Richardson (Gordon Clark Richardson) played for the St. Louis Cardinals and New York Mets over the course of his 3 year career. Richardson broke into the bigs on July 26, 1964 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 3.78 ERA in 52.1 innings pitched in 1965, his rookie year.
