Good Start

Due to the anticipation of week one I have to say that opening night was somewhat anticlimatic. Even though I am happy with the performance of my fantasy players for some reason I just didn’t feel the same excitement that I normally feel during kickoff. This blowout had to be somewhat of a disappointment for those of you that didn’t have any fantasy players. Nevertheless, it was a relief to get things started as I’m sure we have all been chomping at the bit. However, it is fun watching Peyton Manning dissect defenses in that perfectly orchestrated offense.
This is how I saw the game. Firstly, Sean Payton better realize quickly that Reggie Bush is not a between the tackles runner and a mediocre professional at best. Secondly, if the Saints are going to compete this season they better allow Deuce to get into the flow of the game early and pound out fourth quarters with a ground attack. Needless to say I have Deuce in two of my fantasy leagues and had to suffer with his measly three points.
Oh well, Jason David getting torched helped me with Marvin Harrison finishing with 14 points. That’s all I expected, but I have to admit I almost jumped through the ceiling when he had a clear path to the endzone for a possible second touchdown. Good thing I had Joseph Addai (19 points) to finish off the drive with a two yard touchdown run. I still have a few quality players left in both my RobinSports Experts League and The Hazean Blogger league (both leagues I had the sixth pick and drafted an identical roster) so I like my chances to start out 2-0 for the season.
